Haptek has created a program called People Putty that allows users to create their very own online interactive 3-D characters.  These 3-D characters can be used as guides on web pages by interacting with visitors.  The user can create their own character by choosing head shapes, facial features, applying make-up, clothing, etc.  Voice and emotions can also be added to the 3-D characters.  While it seems this program would be a lot of fun to use, it costs $54.95 to download.  I’m not sure if I’d find any use to use this program at work other than to amuse my coworkers, but I would use it if I had a personal web page that I shared with family and friends.  The People Putty program could be used to set up a character that looks, talks, and acts just like me.  I could set it up so that when my friends and family viewed my web page, it would greet them, take them on a tour of my website, and even interact with them.  If anyone is interested in downloading, the website address is http://www.haptek.com.

The IA stores the feedback from the user in a database as like business rules. As the database grows with information, the more intelligent the IA gets. If your line of questions and answers meets or comes close to meeting the criteria of an item, then the IA makes a best effort guess.

We  had a feast and easy installation experience with Popup Dummy. It has settings to enable adware protection as well as block popups and spyware. The interface has an option for a popup test wherein 9 different popups can be tested. Some of the tests included are the adware popup test and spyware test (for "drive-by" downloads that ask users if they would like to install some software on their machine). During the time we spent online, it detected and killed about four spywares, it disabled seven harmful web browser plug-ins, and blocked one modeless popup and three spywares. That was in about 40 minutes. We noticed a big improvement as compared to before we installed it because we used to get popups every few minutes while using the Internet.
