Coto
de Caza's Traffic Incident Rate at Critical Danger Levels
Coto de Caza, CA - While the Coto de Caza's total population has
been shrinking for the last ten years, including placing 17 property
liens for the month of January 2011 out of roughly 3500 homes, the
policies pursued by the CZ Master association board of directors, the
local governance, have consistently increased traffic with a reduction
in CHP patrol hours, with predictable results. Consider that for close
to a decade, we have consistently shown conclusive evidence that there
is a direct correlation between the extent of the CHP traffic
enforcement efforts and the number of traffic accidents in the
community. The results for the fourth quarter of 2010 show Coto de
Caza's traffic accident rate at an all-time high and a traffic fatality
may be around the corner, as history shows, unless something is done
about it.

- the Elephant in the room for California Democrats
For years – even decades – the political equation on California
public education has been engraved in stone.Democrats lined up with the
California Teachers Association and other elements of the education
establishment to contend that spending more money would be the pathway
to improving test scores, dropout rates and other indices of educational

competition – either more charter schools or vouchers for private
schools – and a crackdown on incompetent teachers.Recently, however,
the equation has been changing. The Democratic-establishment coalition
is breaking down as parents, especially those in inner cities, demand
more local control, more school options and better outcomes.

The
American Cultural Divide
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - What is an American? If a so-called
American does not believe in American exceptionalism, is he or she still
American? What if you are a Hyphen-American? That is, what if you are

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – President Obama has ditched the car

the engine off of an airplane metaphor and Winning the Future slogan .
Critics say that the new metaphor does not work, since the airplane is
heading to China to mortgage future generations of American, when the
airplane has no fuel, while Governor Sarah Palin characterizes the new
slogan as What Were They Thinking (WWTT) or in the vernacular: WTF?

LETTERS
Sir,
Mr. Allen, Mr. Merritt, Ms. McNulty, you are out of Order -The entire
Laguna Woods United Mutual Board is out of order!
Yesterday, February 8, 2011 United Board Vice President, Harold Allen
suggested to members who have a complaint that they “go home and bury
yourself.” He then rendered a whiny voiced imitation of a member who
had a complaint. The rest of the entire United Board laughed rather than
explain to this man that he had just suggested anybody with any problem
at all commit suicide. Nor did any single member of the board move to
have him apologize to the entire community which was watching the
meeting on Television as well as in the meeting room
And
the WTF Award Goes to......? Heather Gerson! From FOB, to FOO to WTF
Wow, Board Member of the YEAR! Quite an award. I hope you are so proud
of yourself for kissing up to PCM/ASSOCIA in order to be entertained for
a lunch at DISNEYLAND. ALL you had to do was participate with the rest
of the United Board in little activities such as REVOKING THE MEMBERSHIP
OF AND EVICTING FROM HER MANOR a woman of advanced years and who is
quite possibly not competent! YOU did this by allowing it and without
making sure that ALL THE SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCIES had exhausted every
single option to help. SHE WAS A DUES PAYING MEMBER OF UNITED. Oh,
that’s right…United doesn’t worry about collecting the assessments
from their members because….well, YOU’RE the TREASURER….YOU TELL
US.
Don't
Blame the City of Laguna Woods
It is time to change the Managing Agent of this Senior Citizens
Homeowners Association. Professional Community Management, Inc. (PCM)
has been the managing agent in Leisure World/Laguna Woods Village for 46
years. It will be hard to change especially when PCM has been in
complete charge for so many years. However if Leisure World/Laguna Woods
Villages is going to survive for another decade it must change the way
business is done.
Don't
Blame the City of Laguna Woods, Again!
EDITOR's NOTE: Based on previous reporting and letters to the editor
published in the CotoBuzz Journal, we concluded that perhaps the city of
Laguna Woods is aiding and abetting the homeowners association do
something that is against the community's .... governing documents
(Original Trust and 88 CC&R's) as well as the California State Law
(Davis Stirling Act #1359) which states Common Area in a condominium
complex can not be partitioned in excess of 50 years, however, we wanted
to get an official statement from the city and the City Manager Leslie
Keane was gracious enough not only to respond, but do so promptly

Coto
de Caza, CA - Hello All: We recently received notice that CZ Sports
Park fees would be lowered from $15 an hour (which was probably never
charged) to $12 an hour to eliminate the “discounts” that were
going to teams because some number of CZ kids were on the team. This
is being done for CZ to earn more money for usage.

Laguna
Woods Village, CA - Last week there was a letter to the editor in the
Globe from GRF Director Lloyd Foster who apparently felt it was his
JOB to interpret for those of us in the community who are too stupid
to infer, understand or interpret for ourselves the information in the
"Director's Corner" column written by Towers nominal
president Richard Gray. Apparently, Foster feels that Gray is
incompetent to do his own writing, or too senile, or just too stupid
and desperately needs the "help" of somebody of much greater
intellect to interpret what Gray was saying. Don't try to muddy the
waters any further than you already have, Foster, and go back to your
dish to lie down. I really wonder if Foster wasn't recruited by his
masters and perhaps the manager of the towers herself to
"help" everybody understand what Gray "really
intended" to say.

Business
New
RSM Chamber of Commerce is Now Open for Business
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - If you follow current events, you
probably know that the President of the United States is now asking,
(his critics characterize as demagoguing), the United States Chamber
of Commerce (USCC) to get in the game, weeks after he blamed the same
business lobbying group of using foreign money to fight his political
agenda. The Chamber, staffed with policy specialists, lobbyists and
lawyer is a lobbying group in the United States of America,
representing many businesses and associations across the USA and
throughout the world - not an agency of the United States government.
Politically, the Chamber is generally considered to be a conservative
organization
