not lifetime health insurance for Mission Viejo City Council was still
in effect, as this had been a contentious issue in previous elections.
We did not readily know the answer, so we started doing some research:
The Mission Viejo City Council’s Mission statement as stated in its
website was a good omen “ We are dedicated providers of municipal
services and stewards of the public trust…. We are committed to
providing services that are Responsive, Innovative, and Fiscally
sound” – so we asked City Mayor Patricia Kelly and the City
Administrator to answer the question for us. Unfortunately, the city
council failed to live up to its promise - we tried a couple of times

Viejo, CA – A CotoBuzz Journal reader recently asked us whether or
not lifetime health insurance for Mission Viejo City Council was still
in effect, as this had been a contentious issue in previous elections.
We did not readily know the answer, so we started doing some research:
The Mission Viejo City Council’s Mission statement as stated in its
website was a good omen “ We are dedicated providers of municipal
services and stewards of the public trust…. We are committed to
providing services that are Responsive, Innovative, and Fiscally

too many homeowners properly address the self-interest motives of HOA
boards or individual directors who may have a vendetta against them.
With the right evidence, it is not too difficult to pursue a case to
its logical conclusion - specifically naming the offending person,
independent of the HOA board. Driver v. Hussein, No. A126534, Cal.
App. Dist. 1, October 1, 2010. The breach of fiduciary duty claim
relates to Hussein's conduct in his capacity as a member and director
of the Homeowners' Association. It was specifically alleged Hussein
