Mike Wins!

Today, April 08, 2010, 18 minutes ago Go to full article

Laguna Woods Village, CA - We previously asserted that if you live in Laguna Woods, all you need to do is mention "Mike" and immediately friend and foe realize you are talking about Michael Curtis. They also know that Michael has been engaged in epic battles: Against cancer, against corruption, against local governance and the property management company. Consider that from his death bed and hardly able to breath on his owe, he phoned supporters to make sure to attend the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) meeting scheduled to discuss the future of the property management company’s PCM’s  Milt Jones’. Mike won that battle against his nemesis, as the community is breaking in a new manager in Jerry Storage with touted experience and diplomacy.

Hello All: I had a good laugh reading the CZ’s newsletter related to building a Dog Park in Coto so “dogs could run free”. We don’t even have a multi-generational park in Coto so Seniors (soon to be me) can walk free. What I want to know is when did dogs start paying CZ dues? Certainly the dogs that reside in CZ must pay dues to warrant the dedication of a park to them. What other logic could there be for building a Dog Park on one of the few areas of common area left in Coto that should instead be dedicated to a multi-generational park. And, why do we need a Dog Park anyway, when we have miles of horse trails that can be used to walk dogs on very long leashes so that they can run and crap free.

The president of Coto de Caza’s local governance reports that certain residents are surprised the community is doling out subsidies of over $3 million/year, mostly as a result of the board’s misguided decision to build a dog park at the time it is facing a fiscal tsunami of its own making.

Who Let's the Coto Dogs Out?

Monday, April 05, 2010, 9:55:08 PM Go to full article
