Democrats Recipe #1: Snatch Defeat from Jaws of Doom – Baby Whine Puree Posted By CotoBlogzz 06-27-2010 09:00 PM I
must confess that I was so annoyed when I first heard
the anti-Whitman ad using a reporter to attack her
voting record and asking
the question “why?” some three or four
times, I was ready to retire the television for the
entire election season. The ad follows a GOP recipe to
“snatch
defeat from the jaws of victory,”
attempting to disqualify Ms. Whitman from
public service because she did not vote religiously
and questions her motives for spending millions in her
own campaign. As
expected, the ad continues to run long after Ms.
Whitman was selected as the GOP’s candidate to face
politician-for-life Attorney General Gerry Brown.
Forces
of influence are factors that affect the way perceive
the world and affect the way a problem is identified,
perceived, defined, and evaluated. Forces of influence
include beliefs, values, contextual factors, urgency,
importance, thinking styles, individual versus group
impact, personal attributes, and collective
perceptions, age, gender, education, ethnicity and
financial status.
In other words, expecting to have a
substantive, reasonable political argument is close to
expecting a miracle.
Understanding that certain forces of influence
where involved in the California GOP’s civil war
resulting in the California
Trifecta, simply reinforces the view that the GOP
has been perfecting the recipe to “snatch
defeat from the jaws of victory- the reporter
asking Ms. Whitman “why” several times, was not
only childish, but the tone and pitch reminds me of
the use of language as a function of gender:
When my wide says “fine”, she does not
necessarily mean it is fine.
More often than not, it simply means that
someone us in trouble, for example. That
the democrats continue to use the annoying and
moronic ”why” ad against Ms. Whitman, indicates
that the Democrat’s leadership is tone deaf:
An anti-incumbent wave is sweeping the nation
resulting in an “anyone but the incumbent”
attitude among the electorate.
If anything, the ad reinforces the notion that
Ms. Whitman is far from being a career politician and
is using her own money, rather than having to rely on
special interest groups.
If anything, Ms. Whitman is the only candidate
who has taken a public stand against the California’s
Triple Threat 1) unions, 2) Parasitic
Bureaucracies and 3) Lobbyist.
Pollster Doug Schoen is
suggesting that some 57% of the electorate is ready to
vote “anyone but the incumbent,” and
suggests that such a vote is also an anti-Obama vote. Think what you will about the observation about the anti-Whitman ad. One thing is sure: If the democrats continue with their tone-deafness as exemplified by the “why” ad, they will be snatching defeat from the jaws of doom. Not ready to believe? Just remember that our political prediction rate has only been 100% spot on.
