Senator Gregg, a Demagogue, a RINO or both?

May 13, 2010

Dear Senator Gregg:

Newsmax quotes you:" ” Gregg says. “If we continue to spend much more than we take in," he says. "We'll double our debt in five years and triple it in 10 years and essentially be where Greece is in about seven years,” he said Monday night on the Fox Business Network."

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. On one hand you go around warning the country of unbridled debt. On the other hand you just voted down the Vitter Amendment which would have offered some meaningful transparency to the Fed, the biggest culprit of all when it comes to unbridled spending of taxpayer dollars.  Who do you think is behind saving Greece? THE FED!! The result?  Eventually an imploding U.S. dollar via unfettered money printing as the U.S. goes down the same debt laden road as Greece,  future collapse of our economy AGAIN, and week-kneed politicos continuing to aid and abet the Fed so that we will continue to lose purchasing power, our hard earned retirement savings and all confidence that our political leaders know any inkling of the destruction they are perpetrating by their misguided positions, voting records and pandering to White House bureaucrats! !

As a registered Republican I am appalled at your voting down the Vitter Amendment. And to top that off you actively campaigned in aggressive lobby fashion every chance you could get on TV espousing the need for the Fed to retain secrecy of its covert activities. Republicans voting down the Vitter Amendment is a shameful deed which I shall not forget in 2012.  You and others voting NAY will be held accountable for your failure to put the

welfare of citizens over the elite establishment in Washington. Your overall performance is just as shoddy as the DEMS and there just may be a third party uprising in 2012 when the imploding U.S. dollar with high inflation decimates the stock market and the economy at which time I will be most happy to join the revolution to vote all of you out of office. You need a reality check. Read the Huffpost article 96-0: Fed Audit Passes Senate  by Ryan Grim 05/11/2010 AND the thousands of reader comments overwhelmingly against your having sold out our country.  I have personally written to all of my friends to remember the face in the article (yours) as one of the biggest Fed enablers in Washington.

Respectfully resentful,

Irene Hoffman
