President Barrack Obama made it very clear during his 100th-day town hall meeting in St. Louis Wednesday that he did not think highly of the organic tea bag revolts and instead blamed the Fox News Channel for stirring the tea pot. While White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters: “I don't know if there's a specific response to protests….”

"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”

Since the President has repeatedly insisted that words must mean something, perhaps it is worthwhile to determine the social context of his use of the term “serious”, as in serious conversation.

On April 3, 2009, Ambassador Stephen Bosworth, the U.S. special representative for North Korea policy, said that North Korea should reconsider launching a rocket because a launch would be an unnecessarily provocative act. The President followed up by saying there would be “serious consequences” if the launch took place. Well, the multistage rocket, did launch at 11:30 a.m. April 5, local time. The launch was followed by a Sunday emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council ending Sunday night with no agreement on a response to North Korea. Fast forward to May 1, 2009, and the “serious consequences” have failed to materialize.

So, if the President dismisses Tea Bag Rebels, what will he do to those who join the C-Bag Revolt? C-Bag Revolt organizers, like the Tea Bag Revolts, is a grass roots movement calling on volunteers to “become armed and dangerous – carry a pocket copy of the US Constitution”

The argument of the C-Bag Revolt Movement is that the enemy has become a friend of the administration, and critics have become the enemy, considering that the War on Terror has been legislated as non-existent. The same thing can be said about enemy combatants. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has identified US veterans as particularly susceptible to recruiting by right wing extremist and pose a danger to the stability of the country.
