DUI
Saturation Patrols In South Orange County Start This
Weekend

Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration, the Orange County
Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the the
Avoid The 10 DUI Task Force will be staffing a DUI
checkpoint in Lake Forest this weekend and deploying
additional local DUI Saturation Patrols county-wide
targeting DUIs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), from 2006 to 2007, California witnessed a big decline in the number of people killed in alcohol involved deaths from 1597 to 1489 dead. .
The enforcement campaign begins Friday night with
a DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint in the City of Lake
Forest. Local DUI Saturation Patrolsare scheduled to
be out on Saturday night and Sunday night in the
Cities of Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake
Forest, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo,
Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano &
San Clemente. Additional DUI crackdowns are planned for the
Independence Day weekend and during the National Summer DUI Mobilization effort Mid-August through
Labor Day weekend.
