NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Hope Ashley Jacoby, a high school athletic trainer was convicted today of having an unlawful sexual relationship for almost one year with a male high school student.

Jacoby, 24, San Juan Capistrano, pleaded guilty to the court to seven felony counts of unlawful sexual relations with of a minor. Over the objection of the People, she is expected to be sentenced to three years of probation and 30 days Caltrans service at her sentencing on July 29, 2009

Between Jan. 1, 2008, and Dec. 19, 2008, Jacoby had an unlawful sexual relationship with a male student, whom she met while working as an athletic trainer at Tustin High School. The defendant had unlawful sex with the victim in her car and at her San Juan Capistrano home on several occasions when the victim was between 16 and 17 years old.
