Saddleback College ’s Professional Guest Artist Series o welcomes back Laguna Ballet’s The Nutcracker to the McKinney Theatre stage.

Over 75 Orange County students come together each year, under the direction of Artistic Director Shery Gilbert, to present this full-length Nutcracker to sold-out houses.  The lead role of Clara will be played by Danielle Garcia and Emily Kimbro.  Returning guest artist is Anton Pankevich of Pacific Northwest Ballet.  Lauren Eggersten, Youth American Grand Prix Regional Semi Finalist, returns in her role as the Sugar Plum Fairy along with all of the talented Laguna Ballet dancers.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (949) 582-4656 (noon-4 weekdays) or online at www.saddleback.edu/arts. Ticket prices are $24 general; $22 students/seniors/Angels; $20 children 12 and under and Saddleback College students and staff with current ASB card.  Dates are December 18th, 19th and 20th at 7:00 p.m. and December 21st at 1:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Laguna Ballet is the non-profit junior ballet company of Laguna Dance Theatre, comprised of children ages 5-18, founded by Shery Gilbert. Laguna Ballet, in conjunction with the school, Laguna Dance Theatre, provides an exceptional environment where each student receives the special care and attention needed to become a self confident dancer. A solid base in technique is provided to aspiring professional dancers, and to those who simply want the best dance experience, to raise their self-esteem, develop discipline and achieve grace. Saddleback College is located at 28000 Marguerite Pkwy in Mission Viejo , just east of Interstate 5 at the Avery Parkway exit.  Parking is available in Lot 12.  Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway turn left to the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Turn right into the campus and take the third left to “ Theatre Circle ,” turning right into Lot 12.
