CZ Master President Floats Bail Out Plan for Estates, Villages and Others

Posted by: CotoBlogzz | 10/25/2008 05:20 PM

In the midst of a global economic crisis and a tightened US Presidential election, boldly the president of the CZ Master Association in the latest newsletter floats a bailout to help non-paying members of the community enjoy the Coto lifestyle:  The Estates, the Villages, The Sports Park, The Golf Course…….

While various local non-profit organization have cancelled major events in deference to residents who may have fallen on hard times because of the economic meltdown, the CZ Master Association citing self-serving  internal polling data, is floating the idea of a dues increase to support non dues-paying members such as the residents of the Estates and Villages, the Coto Golf Cub, the Equestrian Club and others.

Equine fertilizer – guess who pays for the clean up?  Guess who benefits?

Senator McCain’s use of Joe the Plumber derides Senator Obama’s concept of redistribution of wealth and characterizes it as a welfare system aimed at taking money from those who work hard and giving it to those who may not even work at all.

On the other hand, Senator Obama characterizes his plan as “pay-as-you-go”, meaning that he has an eye on the economy and will only implement new programs if these can be afforded.

Departing from these two sides, the CZ Master association take a different extreme:  Take money from those who work hard, and give it to the wealthier! (have you seen the number of foreclosures in the community lately?) – Perhaps it can be called as “you pay and they go” plan.  Meaning CZ residents pay, while everyone else with arguably more means can enjoy – for free.

Hello All:  The Estates, Village People, CotoCAN, Sport Leagues, Equestrians and Golf Club Members who do not live in Coto are the welfare recipients of Coto de Caza.    There is income distribution from CZ Members to these wealthy individuals.  They are all freeloaders.  At least Obama wants to redistribute income to 40 million of his low income supporters who pay no income taxes at all.  If the CZ Board raises our dues again without first dealing with the subsidies going to the richest among us, it will be Trickle Up Economics.   Go figure.  It may be time for the town’s people to go to a CZ Board Meeting with pitch forks in hand and the tar and feathers.  Government and financial institutions have failed us.  If the CZ Board raises our dues again without first dealing with the subsidies, we can add the Yocham Board to the list.  I am mad as hell and I don’t care who knows.  Joe Morabito, former director, CZ Master association

Hi Joe:

To add insult to injury, have you seen the number of bank owned properties for sale in the community? - an all time high  - these properties are the same ones financing the Coto lifestyle.

Talk about judgment! - Buzz

Coto de Caza Bailout Plan Poll

The CZ president is floating a dues increase to finance welfare system benefiting the Estates, the Villages, CotoCAN, the Golf Club and the Equestrian center, and others. She cites internal polling data to justify the bail out plan.  Critics charge the CZ board should stop ALL subsidies before entertaining a dues increase.

Do you thing that respondents who allegedly voted in favor of   a bailout plan for the Estates, the Villages and others non-dues paying residents:

Bailout Plan Rebuttal

Hello All:  In this month’s newsletter Xochi Yocham is talking about another dues increase to cover increases in expenses.  There they go again.  Just like Varo/Mezger instead of dealing with all the subsidies going to outsiders and non-members in Coto, the Board wants to take the easy road and hit us again with the third dues increase in what now will be five years.  Well I am mad as hell and I don’t care who knows.   We have government that has failed us.  Financial institutions have failed us.  And, now once again we have a CZ Board that is failing to properly represent out interests.  Any CZ Board Member who votes to increase our dues again without first dealing with these subsidies should not be re-elected.  In fact, I think they should be tarred and feathered and thrown out of office sooner than later.

Xochi, if you need help dealing with the budget; I can show you where the money is to avoid a dues increase?  Look to The Estates, the Village People, CotoCAN and the Sports Leagues because they are all living off the fat of our land and the fruits of our labor.  It is time that these people pay their fair share before the CZ Board comes to us again.  To do otherwise is a violation of Board Member fiduciary responsibility to protect the interest of our Members.  Plus it is just bad business.  It is finally time for the CZ Board to deal with these subsidies.  There are ways to do it including higher annual transponder fees for non-members and higher use fees for the Sports Leagues and others.

Xochi, if you do not act to protect our member’s interests by dealing with the subsidies, the next time I see you at Tutto Fresco, I will not be smiling.   It is bad enough that we still do not have Direct Popular Elections in Coto; but another dues increase without dealing with the subsidies first is just plain incompetence.  Joseph Morabito

P.S.  CZ needs a 30% or higher return on any survey to draw any valid statistical conclusions.   We do surveys for a living and that is what I have been told by professionals for years.  So, while the 20% return CZ reported in the newsletter is ok, it is not enough of a sampling to be very authoritative -

Arguably, outsourcing can be a manager?s best friend, or worst enemy. It is fair to say that most people get paychecks prepared not by the employer, but by companies such as ADP. Of course, we also know about the call centers in India.
