Crime and Vandalism In Coto de Caza at All Time High

The President’s letter contained in the  October 2008 CZ Master association newsletter asserts that “With the kids back in school, incidents of vandalism have dropped 80%.  There were a lot more vandalism incidents this summer compared to last year for the same period

The Orange County Sheriffs department data does show that the vandalism rate for the third quarter of 2008 increased by 60%.    However, the same data shows that the crime and vandalism rate in Coto de Caza at the end of the third quarter (3Q2008) ending September 30 2008 is at all time high rivaled by the rates reached at the end of  3Q2006 and 2Q2007.  Hence the assertion that “With the kids back in school, incidents of vandalism have dropped 80%” cannot be validated using the OCSD data.  We invited Ms. X. Yocham, president of the CZ Master association and Vinnie Davis, General Manager, to clarify the remarks contained in the newsletter, but declined to comment.

We do see that theft/larceny increased 83% by the end of the third quarter compared to the first quarter of this year.

As in previous reports, the data indicates that the crime and vandalism within Coto de Caza is not being managed either by local governing body and or law enforcement agencies.

DaVaro Deception - Law and Order !   We don’t need no stinkin' law, WE are the law! VARO/MEZGER/HILL:  Hell now, won’t go! – we will not leave the Coto de Caza board under any circumstances! Besides public safety, what has sparked the interest of several Coto Discussion Forum participants and CotoBlogzz readers is the issue of direct democracy within Coto de Caza.  That is, given that recently the state legislature passed SB61 intending to obsolete a most corrupt district delegate and cumulative voting process, the question is, why did the Varo/Mezger/Hill board not adopt direct elections for the 2006-2007 board of directors elections?  The response from the board was that there was simply not enough time.
