Coto de Caza Stabbing Incident Update

July 18,   2008

Coto de Caza - An 18th birthday celebration in Coto de Caza over the past weekend, where allegedly spirits were flowing freely and party-goers ranged in age from 18 to late 20s and the homeowner was there at the time, eventually turned into a stabbing incident, where a 25-year-old party guest had to be taken to the hospital with several stab wounds.

The Orange County DA has confirmed that the OCSD has not filed any charges as a result of the incident.

A check with the OCSD earlier today indicates that the Sheriff’s office has not released the identity or the medical condition of the injured party, as the investigation is ongoing.

Sources speculate that the injured party may be a suspect.

While we understand that the investigation’s priority is focus on the instigator(s), we let the OCSD department know that we are interested in two angles: 1)   Whether charges are files as a result of the brawl and whether charges are brought as a result of the under-age drinking.
