Viejo Resident R. Khayyam, faces trial for accepting bribes
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Reza Khayyami,
49, Mission Viejo, a former Chief Technology Officer for Orange County
faces trial tomorrow for soliciting and accepting a $5,000 bribe to use
his position of authority to influence work contracts for the County.
Khayyami, is charged with one felony count of being an officer asking for
and receiving a bribe. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of four
years in state prison. Opening statements are expected to begin Monday,
Nov. 3, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in Department W-9, West Justice Center,
Westminster.

Medelia Chiong Fernan, 50, Fountain Valley, was arrested and charged for

On 11-19-2008 at approximately 0700 hours, Ahmad Dardar was walking his

and the kids rushed ahead of Mr. Dardar. After the kids were put on the
school bus, his wife turned to look for him and noticed he was gone.

Woods Village. Successful candidates for directorships were incumbent Ruth
May with the fewest votes (5,888 after weighting) followed by James

Bob Hatch, recently retired from Third Mutual with 9188 weighted votes and
Burns Nugent formerly of United Mutual with 10,296 weighted votes.

In a previous piece, we posited that the Laguna Woods City Council has
been occupied
by former Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) board members since the city
started, and that "there seems to be a symbiotic relationship between
the city council and the GRF board and it is important to GRF that the
city lean toward their wishes in order for them to go through with plans
GRF has for the Village, as in re-development".

In a recent discussion leading up to election day, an anonymous comment
posted from a computer previously used by a public servant in the same
thread had the following suggestion: “If you don’t like PCM, the
Boards, the City Council, etc. - rise up and vote them out“. This
suggestion is the tenor of what critics get when they contact the Orange
County DA, the OCSD,
the Attorney General the California Real Estate Commission and any other
government agency.
