I am thankful for the taxes I pay, even when used in a redistribution of wealth scheme, because it means I am employed or have my own business.
I am also thankful.....

......for the clothes that fit a little
too snug, because it means I have had enough
to eat.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutter that needs fixing, because it means I have a home.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means I am capable of walking |

For my huge utilities bill, because it means I am warm during the winter and cool during the summer.

when there is nothing to be said, for that
means he is a true friend

the shadow watching me work, because it means
I am working outdoors

am thankful that the Lord is using me as
an instrument of peace: sowing love
where there is injury, pardon where there is
doubt, faith where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light and where there is sadness, joy...

When
I complain that my bed is not ergonomic
enough, I then realize I should be thankful I
have a roof over my head and a bed I can
retire whenever I want.

am thankful for the mess I have to clean after
a party, because it means I am
surrounded by friends

the day, because it means I have been capable

For the California Teachers Association and the ACLU not being deployed to war zones, because it means God has not been taken out of the battlefield

| And finally, for all the complaining about government incompetence and corruption, because it means our men and women in uniform continue to secure our freedom |
