LETTERS

To Destroy a Community, or to Destroy the Status Quo?

That is the Question in this Letter to the Menifee SCCA Board of Directors

May 19 2008

Dear Mr. Rzepka,

First of all I have no intentions or no desire to destroy "our community".  However, I must ask you to please define what you think the community is, what it is you think I am threatening to destroy?

Secondly, Sun City has been declared a "blighted community" by county Supervisor Jeff Stone's office.  You might check with the County Supervisor.

Thirdly, SCCA web site is telling lies to its members when it claims that Sun City was founded by Del Webb as a senior only community.  It was founded to be a community of 18 year of age and older.  You can confirm this history in the Book written about Sun City at the Sun City Library.  What kind of an association is it that can't even get its facts straight and publishes lies.  There are many people who are suffering because they can't sell their properties to under age 55 families because of this illegal age restriction.  If you really care, you should care about the truth.

Thirdly, I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am, you actually hired a property management company.  The return of tyranny, increase in dues, and more misery will be heaped upon the titleholders of SCCA.  If you were truly knowledgeable about deed restricted communities--which you are not, you would know the harm of property management companies.  Has a copy of the contract between this company and the titleholders been made available to the titleholders?  If you think this is such a good idea, why not send me a copy of the contract.  I can tell by the agreements you made on behalf of the members just how much hardship innocent members will experience as a consequence of your ignorance.

Sincerely,

Therese Daniels
