A Tribute to Mr. Morteza Manian On The First Anniversary of His Tragic Death February
22, 2007 As
Mr. Morteza Manian was riding his bicycle on a lazy
Sunday afternoon, just like he had done so many times
before, a 16 year old female driver of a Nissan
Frontier approached the same intersection at Lexington
Way and struck the left side of Mr. Manian.
We believe there are no coincidences, only Godincidences. We also believe that Mr. Manian would be extremely upset if somehow we were able to mourn his unfortunate departure so much that he would be summoned back to earth. We know that as tragic as his death was, it was his turn. This tribute, consistent with the song written by Peter Seeger based on the Book of Ecclesiastes (see below), is a time to celebrate Mr. Manian's legacy while he was with us.
Mr. Morteza Manian was an Electrical Engineer by trade and a very kind and gentle man by nature. A wonderful husband, father and teacher, Mr. Manian was generous and lived by the motto:" the more you give, the more you get" He loved flowers and working in the yard.
To remember him, volunteers will be lighting candles and or leaving flowers at the place of the tragedy, as early as this weekend and beyond March 12. If you are interested, stop by and celebrate Mr. Manian's legacy (Accident Location:) Now it is our turn - what legacy will be leave behind?
