Is Malintzin in our midst (Coto de Caza's Puppet Board?) - or is it the Treasonator?

November 13, 2007

Think of Malintzin as a female version of Benedict Arnold - Arnold  originally fought for American independence from the British Empire as a general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War until he obtained  a bone, err.. command of the American fort at West Point, New York and, opting for a switcharoo, then plotted unsuccessfully to surrender it to the British

Malintzin was used to interpret between Cortés and the Aztecs.   Malintzin learned of several plans by natives to destroy the small Spanish army, and she alerted Cortés of the danger and even played along with the natives in order to lead them into traps.

Given the unexpected coup at the CZ board, the question is, is Malintzin in Coto’s midst, or is this a local version of the Treasonator?

Hello All:  Xochi Yocham as the new President of CZ has a real chance to shine if she brings real democracy into Coto to finally end all the corruption and shenanigans inherent in our Delegate Electoral System.   In fact, while building and office facility at the Welcome Home Center or even a Community Center at the Sports Park would be a great legacy that I support, bringing real democracy into Coto is a far more important legacy.  Without good governance based on democratic principles that are common at every level of government outside our gates and at nearly all HOA’s, we have all the games that have been played in the past and will be played in the future by one faction or another.  Xochi can either clean up all the muck or be tarnished by it.  The choice is hers.  Obviously I support real democracy in Coto and I am ready to start writing checks for legal fees to get there if the Board does not do the right thing.  The very notion that any CZ Board Member would spend association monies to defend the current corrupt system is just indefensible.  I sincerely hope that is not where we end up.  Joe Morabito

Hi Joe:

During the brief Zipperman/Yocham board, the votes along the lines of direct democracy including the taping of open board meetings and direct elections were 3-2.

The trio of Zipperman, Hylka and Yocham quickly became a crowd:  the taping of board meetings was discontinued, talk of direct democracy is being obfuscated with legal maneuvers, and Zipperman becomes the odd-man out – an obvious Treasonator switcharoo?

Note the process used to appoint a Zipperman replacement without prior notification.  Easily the votes on what we call the Puppet Board are 4-1

You do the math!

On the other hand, great to see that Morabito-patented optimism!
