February 2007 We do not make jokes, we simply watch the LA Times, the Orange County Register and the Coto de Caza Board of directors and report the facts! |

The Varo anti-CHP Sentiment continues: CHP GO HOME, KEEP OUT OF OUR DUIs! January 19, 2007 The Coto de
Caza gates, including the automated ones are as
reliable as the public utilities in the outskirts of
Baghdad, yet the association continues paying for
services barely-rendered, no questions asked. The Coto de
Caza board in a classic case of the blind leading the
blind are training security personnel– yet the
guards get a raise and a yearly contract. No
questions asked. The property
management company cannot hire competent managers, so
the Coto de Caza board of directors hire managers
directly for property management company. No
questions asked..
Then the board for some strange reason does not
go out for bids for property management services for
more than ½ a decade. The Coto de
Caza landscaping experts bring to Coto the
Arizona (instead of the classic bucolic) look; oversee
a $45,000
free trees renovation project, yet they get a raise
and a yearly contract renewal. No questions
asked. The landscaping
companies are pumped up in classic Orange County
Register adporting; butcher trees then get a raise and
a yearly contract. No questions asked, The Varo Coto
de Caza boards have been coerced intro bringing back
the CHP for proactive traffic patrol, two years in a
row! So the CHP have only managed to reign in on the
out-of-control traffic accident rate since first fired
by the Varo CHP board after being called
“extortionists” by Varo during open board
meetings. So,
in return, and commencing in 2007, the CHP contract
will be reviewed quarterly – “to make sure
patrolling is evenly distributed throughout the year!
Why do you think I keep referring to the Varo/Mezger CZ Board as the most incompetent in the history of CZ/Coto? No one is properly minding the store. These dopes are guilty of fiscal and general mismanagement like none I have ever seen since moving to Coto in 1996. Joe Morabito Hi Joe: First, the letter you received from the property management company on behalf of the CZ master association board of directors constitutes a willful act, clearly detailed in any insurance policy. Then there is the often-discussed, recently discovered “non-existent” Oakview/Oakknoll agreement. Now, given the blatant discriminatory practices being used by the Varo boards against the CHP, and the fact that this particular board will be held to higher standards, seems like someone is playing Russian roulette – or is it Polish? - CotoBuzz And we wonder why some of the kids in Coto commit acts of vandalism. They see the Despicable Housewives and their families of Coto on their TV screens and we have CZ Board Members that have played games with Board elections, often ignored state laws governing HOA’s and legal agreements. These are the most visible role models in Coto rather than those who do great things for the community. I am reminded of Bill Clinton, when he wagged his finger at us and told us that he did not have sex with “that woman” Monica Lewinsky. He the proceeded to argue the definition of the word “is” just like Varo/Mezger and their attorney arguing the meaning of the words “may enforce” specific to the Oakview/Oakknoll agreement that was a condition of development governing those tracts. If our community leaders don’t know the difference between right and wrong and/or understand the concepts of conflict of interests and fiduciary responsibility which often seems to be the case concerning so many CZ issues, why would any one expect the kids in Coto to live up to a higher standard. Joe Morabito P.S. I remember having to tell our son, who was around 10 at the time, the meaning of the word adultery when it came up in the news specific to Bill Clinton, the President of the United States. It certainly was not a shining moment in our country’s history.
